I’m Jack McDonnell — a content leader, creative strategist, and production specialist with 9+ years’ experience where business, storytelling, and execution meet.
I began my career at the BBC, rising through the ranks from technical coordinator to editor and creative across major entertainment titles including Strictly Come Dancing, Glastonbury, Eurovision, and Later… with Jools Holland. From there, I honed my craft across ITV and creative agencies, before being headhunted to lead content at fitness tech company WithU — where I built and led an in-house video and music production team from the ground up, overseeing output across four digital products and thousands of creative assets.
My approach blends big-picture creative direction with hands-on production insight, built on a foundation of editorial excellence, calm leadership, and high standards. I thrive in fast-paced, idea-rich environments and bring structure, style, and strategy to every project I lead.
I’m currently open to full-time roles in content leadership — whether that’s Head of Content Production, Director of Content, or similar — and selectively available for freelance content or videography work with brands doing bold things.
